Aaron Metler wins 4th title; new female record – St George News

ST. GEORGE – The runners of the annual St. George Marathon started their race early Saturday morning, with the winner crossing the finish line shortly after 9:00 a.m.

Aaron Metler claimed his fourth victory at the St George Marathon in 2:17:01. Just 15 minutes later, Orem’s Kodi Kleven crossed the finish line, who won the St George Marathon in a women’s record time of 2:32:44.

The annual race, which has lasted for over 40 years, begins at Central on State Route 18 and continues south to St. George, with the finish line posted at Vernon Worthen Park.

St. George News was on hand at the finish line and throughout the course.
