LANSING, Mich. (WILX) — The local Lansing Art Gallery ended 2021 by announcing that it will be moving to a new location in downtown Lansing.
Thanks to the generosity of the George F. Eyde, LLC family, the Lansing Art Gallery is opening its new home in the historic Knapp’s Center, located at 300 S. Washington Sq. The architectural landmark has many attributes, including an above-ground location , natural light and adjacent parking. While this move may be a short-term solution with only a one-year lease currently in place, the move allows Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center to continue its growth since it opened in 1965.

Through our community, we pursue our mission to raise awareness, educate and enjoy the arts by promoting the works of Michigan artists. Although this move is a short-term solution, we are developing a long-term vision with our community members, artists, board, staff, volunteers and funders We are dreaming BIG as we plan the future, gaining momentum with large-scale projects.
The relocation of the Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center was also made possible in part through the Match on Main program of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
