Michigan Football defeats Northwestern, 33-7


ANN ARBOR, Michigan – Michigan football certainly made some fans uncomfortable at first, but handled the Northwest with ease, having beaten the Wildcats on Saturday, 33-7.

It was the inaugural showdown of the all-new George Jewett Trophy, which meant the two head coaches, Jim Harbaugh and Pat Fitzgerald, spent some time together to pose with the trophy in the tunnel at Michigan Stadium. . But once the teams hit the grill, the Wolverines took control and really hurt the Wildcats in the second half.
