Photo gallery: new eye care facility helps visualize healthier community

Community Health Centers in the North Texas area opened their new eye care center, the Northside Eye Care Center, 2332 Beverly Hills Dr., on November 8 in hopes of providing vision services to residents. .

“As a medical practice, we strive to provide a full range of services and not only consider the individual, but also the family and the community they come from,” said Gerrie Whitaker, CEO of North Texas Area Community Health Centers. “It’s not about the number of people, it’s about being part of your community.”

By opening affordable and accessible health facilities close to each other, in this case on one floor of each other, the organization hopes to create a healthier community, she added. The North Side of the North Texas Area Community Health Center provides pharmaceutical, adult, pediatric, behavioral, and women’s health services.

“This clinic is truly unique in that it truly creates this medical home for our patients where they can receive most or all of their vital health care in one facility,” Dr. Mary Kate Sain, Optometrist and Clinic Director. at the Northside Eye Care Center, said.
