The event was divided into three categories – Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3-4 – and all three were competitive and exciting.

In Division 1, Woodhaven stole the show with a first-place finish of 754.66, narrowly beating Wyandotte Roosevelt (751.74) in a close race for gold. Woodhaven scored 226.80 in the first round while the Bears finished at 225.60. Roosevelt outscored Woodhaven 219.14-218.96 in the second round to cut the deficit to 1.02 points – it doesn’t come much closer than that.

Dearborn Edsel Ford put in an incredible performance in D1. The Thunderbirds finished with a third-place score of 712.20. Bedford was fourth (679.46) while Lincoln Park was fifth (615.64) and Taylor High was sixth (519.50).

All teams had reason to celebrate as the routines were creative and well executed in all three rounds of competition.

Speaking of good execution, the D2 competition was just as tight and impressive as the D1. Three teams scored over 730 points.
