Wyandotte Roosevelt hosted the 19th Wyandotte Competitive Cheer Invitational on Saturday and the Bears defended their home by finishing first in the division. In fact, Roosevelt scored the most points on the day in what was a very strong field.

The field was split into Division 1 and Division 2.
In the six-team Division 1 field, the Bears landed first with 765.50 points. The home team scored 234.60 in the first round, 227.90 in the second round and 303 in the last round to claim the title. Saline finished second with 725.62 points.
Temperance Bedford was third at 718.90 and Livonia Stevenson was fourth at 709.40. Wayne Memorial was fifth (539.00) and Taylor High was sixth at 523.70 (188.70; 139.9; and 203.10).
In a very competitive Division 2 field, Divine Child jumped to first place with 746.30 points. The Falcons opened with 234 points in the first round, then scored 223.60 in the second round and 288.70 in the third round.
Southgate Anderson was a very close second with 745.92 points. The Titans scored 234.20 points in the first round, 224.62 in the second round and 287.10 in the third round.
Riverview finished third with 725.22 points. The Pirates scored 227.30, 214.62 and 283.30.
Trenton finished fourth with 703.58 points. Trojans went to 222.30, 201.08 and 703.58.
